What data we process
When you use the premium calculator, we process the postal code you entered, your birth year, and your choice of deductible, insurance model and accident coverage in order to calculate premiums. This data is not stored on our servers unless you submit the consultation request form. So that you don't have to re-enter it on your next visit, your browser remembers your last inputs (local storage on your device); you can delete them at any time in your browser settings.
If you request a free consultation, we additionally store your name, email address, phone number, your optional preferences for contact channel and supplementary insurance, and the calculator inputs you previously entered in order to process your request. As proof of your consent we store its wording and time, and the page or ad through which you reached us (e.g. campaign parameters and the Google click ID).
Purpose of processing
Data from the consultation form is used to enable contact by an independent insurance advisory partner and for internal quality assurance.
Disclosure to third parties
Your consultation request is forwarded to a carefully selected, independent insurance advisory partner so they can contact you. No further disclosure to third parties takes place unless legally required.
Google Ads and cookies
We run ads through Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). To measure their effectiveness, Google sets cookies when you visit our website and records whether a premium comparison was run or a consultation request was sent after an ad click (conversion tracking). Data may also be transferred to the USA.
When you send a consultation request, we pass your email address and phone number to Google in encrypted (hashed) form so the request can be attributed to the ad (enhanced conversions). Google does not receive this data in plain text.
You can object by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser or by turning off personalised ads at adssettings.google.com. More information is in Google's privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Retention period
Consultation requests are stored for as long as necessary to process your request, then deleted or anonymized.
