Why compare now?

Premiums vary by canton, region, deductible and insurance model — sometimes by several hundred francs a year. A comparison is worthwhile for almost every household in Switzerland, and switching basic insurance is free.

Don't miss the switching deadline

Basic insurance can ordinarily be cancelled until 30 November for a switch effective the following year. Some alternative models with contract terms have different deadlines — an advisor can clarify this with you.

Frequently asked questions

Where does the premium data come from?
All premiums are based on official data published by the Federal Office of Public Health (FOPH). We do not use estimated or outdated figures.
Are the 2027 premiums already available?
The final 2027 premiums are expected to be published by the FOPH by the end of September 2026. Until then we show the current, official 2026 premiums — this page will be updated automatically with the 2027 data on the day of publication.
Why do premiums differ by postal code?
The Federal Council divides each canton into one to three premium regions. Depending on your municipality of residence — even within the same canton — different premiums apply for the same product.
What's the difference between Standard, family doctor, HMO and Telmed?
With the standard model you choose your doctor freely. With the family doctor, HMO and Telmed models you first contact a specific point of entry (family doctor, health centre or phone advice line) — the premium is usually significantly lower.
How do I choose the right deductible?
A high deductible lowers your monthly premium but increases your share of costs if you fall ill. If you rarely see a doctor, a high deductible is often cheaper overall; with regular treatment, a low deductible usually pays off.
By when can I switch health insurers?
The ordinary notice period for basic insurance runs until 30 November for a switch effective 1 January of the following year. Alternative models with a contract term may have different deadlines.
Is the consultation really free and non-binding?
Yes. Consultation through our partner is free and non-binding at every stage. You decide yourself if and when you want to switch.
How safe is my data?
Your details are transmitted encrypted and used exclusively for consultation purposes. See our privacy policy for details.
